Position Summary

We are actively seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Athletics Program Coordinator. This role involves overseeing the Department's designated activities and events under the guidance of a supervisor. Responsibilities include evaluating program eligibility, organizing events, managing facility usage, overseeing program-related expenditures, updating the activity database, communicating information about activities, supervising volunteers, and providing additional program support as needed. Experience in camp programming is also advantageous. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong communication skills, be motivated, adaptable, able to work independently, collaborate effectively, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and take ownership of their responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating assigned tasks.
  • Managing staff assignments for programs and activities.
  • Executing other essential functions specific to the role and departmental needs.
Qualifications

A minimum of an Associate degree in a relevant field or two years of applicable work experience, or a combination of education and experience is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or at least three years of relevant experience in Parks and Recreation or a related field.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background check, credit check, and DMV check. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Driving records may be reviewed annually to maintain eligibility. Additionally, fingerprinting and a TB test will be required within 30 days of hire.
