We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Children's Assault Treatment Services Department at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. As a Forensic Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate care to sexual assault and domestic violence victims.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to identify and document injuries and trauma.
- Collect and document forensic evidence for analysis by law enforcement agencies.
- Provide expert testimony in court to support victims of assault and domestic violence.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in a specialty area.
- Current certification in a specialty area preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- AHA BLS certification.
This is a represented position by SEIU L121RN and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
