The Archaeological Institute of America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support the Programs Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Programs Department, including coordinating travel arrangements, processing reimbursements, and managing fellowship and grant applications.
- Correspond with recipients to notify them of awards, process paperwork, and collect final reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a commitment to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively as well as collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of archaeology or a related academic field is a plus.
This is a hybrid schedule position, requiring the ability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends as events dictate.
The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and will be required to sit for prolonged periods working on a computer.
