The Price Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our Specialized Supports program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the development of skill acquisition and experiential learning through community exploration.
As a Direct Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the direct care and support of individuals in the program. This includes working with individuals on a variety of skill building groups and activities, such as social skills, communication and language, academics, vocational skills, community behavior, and activities of daily living.
To be successful in this role, you will need to utilize strategies to teach social and communication skills, and work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- No experience necessary, we will train the right people
- Minimum of high school degree or GED
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with the assistance of another employee
- MUST HAVE: valid driver's license and a CLEAN driving record and a willingness to use agency vehicle in the course of employment
- Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirement

Hours: Full-Time and part time hours available 7:30AM to 3:30PM or 8:00AM to 4:00PM
