Job Title: Director of Finance

Growth Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team in Portland, Maine. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring financial health, stability, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and operational metrics. Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee billing, collections, and revenue cycle operations to optimize cash flow and minimize accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and insurance guidelines.
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making across departments.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial plans and initiatives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare or medical practice management.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to drive business decisions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, revenue cycle management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
