Avionics Software Engineer

Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute significantly to the advancement of aviation technology by ensuring adherence to compliance standards and regulations during the development and enhancement of new products.

In the role of Avionics Software Engineer, you will spearhead initiatives in your area of expertise and offer essential technical direction.

Key Duties:
  • Design and implement sophisticated avionic systems in line with industry standards.
  • Oversee the management of Aircraft Software Configuration.
  • Provide technical assistance to production and customer service teams.
  • Verify that system designs meet established requirements.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on avionics system compliance strategies.
  • Assist in conducting system Failure Hazard Analyses.
  • Facilitate integration efforts across various departments.
  • Conduct design evaluations, trade studies, and testing programs as necessary.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in Software configuration management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering with a specialization in integrated aircraft avionic/electrical systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with environmental testing requirements.
  • Understanding of system requirements, including DO-178/C for software and DO-254 for electronic hardware.
  • Knowledge of SAE ARP 4754 and ARP 4761.
  • Experience in testing and certifying Avionics systems.
  • Expertise in Aircraft Software Configuration Management.
