Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Trainer to join our team at American Honda Motor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, and conducting avionics and electrical training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Training Program Development: Plan, coordinate, and schedule in-house training classes for associates to build skills competencies needed for production.
  2. Training Materials Preparation: Prepare training materials and documentation, including PowerPoint presentations, course outlines, and syllabi.
  3. Technical Communication: Communicate technical information to users/students in clear and concise terms.
  4. Training Evaluation: Evaluate training programs, conduct assessments, and provide feedback to students.
  5. On-the-Job Training: Administer on-the-job training to technicians and provide follow-up support.
  6. Needs Analysis: Perform needs analysis to identify training gaps and develop training solutions.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Associate Degree (Technical) and/or minimum 2 years training-related experience. One year of direct aircraft experience may be substituted for each year of college.
  2. Aerospace Experience: 5 years of aerospace-related experience in an aviation specialty area.
  3. Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes) and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and/or specification requirements.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Working Conditions
  1. Physical Demands: Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
  2. Work Environment: Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
