Avionics Software Engineer

Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will contribute significantly to the advancement of aviation technology by ensuring adherence to compliance standards and regulations during the development and enhancement of innovative products.

In this role, you will guide a specialized team and offer expert technical direction.

Key Duties:
  • Design and implement sophisticated avionic systems in line with industry standards.
  • Oversee the configuration management of aircraft software.
  • Provide technical assistance to production and customer support teams.
  • Verify that system designs meet established requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on avionics compliance strategies.
  • Support system Failure Hazard Analyses to ensure safety.
  • Facilitate integration efforts across various departments.
  • Conduct design evaluations, trade studies, and testing initiatives as required.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in software configuration management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience focused on integrated aircraft avionic and electrical systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with environmental testing requirements.
  • Understanding of system requirements such as DO-178/C for software and DO-254 for electronic hardware.
  • Knowledge of SAE ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 standards.
  • Experience in testing and certifying avionic systems.
  • Expertise in Aircraft Software Configuration Management.
