Job Description

At Mercantile Bank, we're seeking a highly skilled Treasury Sales Officer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, your focus is on new and existing business customers, connecting them to the treasury products that allow them to handle their business more efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete Treasury Management Reviews at the Officer level and provide support during sales conversations and assist with preparing presentations and proposals at the Associate level.
  • Partner with our Commercial Bankers and branch personnel to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, ensuring our customers have access to the latest treasury management products and services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required, with a bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Ability to work in an office environment M-F 8am-5pm (eligible to work from home 20% after 90-days).
  • Professional demeanor (attendance, appearance, interpersonal), and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Banking and/or Treasury experience preferred.
  • Preference for candidates with their CTP (Officer level) or open to obtaining their CTP - Certified Treasury Professional (Associate level).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive to customer sites in the surrounding area.
