Overview

The Regional Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the performance of multiple fitness facilities to ensure they meet their financial, operational, and customer satisfaction objectives.

This role involves leading and mentoring club managers in areas such as membership growth, service excellence, product sales, promotional activities, facility upkeep, personnel management, and adherence to company standards.

Financial Performance

Oversee sales, revenue, and the overall financial health of each facility. Implement and manage marketing initiatives to achieve designated monthly sales targets. Establish operational objectives and priorities for Club Managers, ensuring accountability. Regularly review financial statements and key performance indicators with General Managers and Fitness Managers. Meet monthly revenue goals for all income streams within the region.

Performance Oversight

Supervise team member performance, focusing on staffing and individual development. Conduct sales meetings to enhance sales capabilities. Generate periodic sales reports detailing sales performance and potential opportunities.

Guide and develop staff based on performance metrics, attendance, and other factors as directed by management through both informal coaching and formal disciplinary measures, including documented coaching records and Performance Improvement Plans.

Continually enhance the skills of all team members regarding club operations. Mentor managers on how to build and sustain high-performing teams.

Staff Recruitment & Retention

Ensure that clubs are adequately staffed, trained, and operating within budgetary constraints.

Collaborate with General Managers and Human Resources to develop high-performing team members and address performance challenges.

Ensure compliance with onboarding procedures and training as per company guidelines. Identify performance gaps and devise action plans.

Recruit, hire, train, and cultivate a high-caliber team of Club Managers and other essential roles that align with company objectives and values.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a fitness-related discipline preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitness management or multi-unit operations, supervising 5-10 management staff preferred.
- Proven success in fitness, retail, customer service, or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership capabilities that drive results.
- Excellent customer service, staff development, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, training, sales growth, and operational management.
- Results-driven professional with a positive outlook and commitment to excellence.
- Familiarity with managing profit and loss statements.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
