The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational activities of multiple restaurant locations within a designated area. This role is crucial in fostering team development through effective coaching, constructive feedback, and creating growth opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Commit to the continuous development of staff in managerial and professional skills.
  • Administer fair and consistent corrective actions for policy violations.
  • Design and implement innovative sales strategies to enhance performance across assigned restaurants.
  • Assist in preparing annual sales forecasts, expense budgets, and capital budgets.
  • Optimize profits by managing expenses within the established budgetary framework.
  • Guarantee that all locations meet or exceed operational and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate restaurant management's understanding of strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain appropriate management staffing levels in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Set financial performance targets for all restaurants in the area and guide daily operations to align with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with guest relations, food costs, labor costs, and other controllable expenses, along with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and service to all guests consistently.
  • Perform unannounced assessments of restaurants quarterly to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive monthly operational reviews with General Managers, developing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Ensure budgeted profit and loss results are achieved and report performance metrics to the VP of Operations.
  • Maintain a succession plan for regional management, addressing performance issues with structured development plans.
  • Recruit and select management candidates, keeping leadership informed of staffing needs.
  • Train and develop restaurant management personnel, ensuring a robust succession plan is in place.
  • Oversee the opening of new restaurant locations as per established guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage promotional activities and merchandising in accordance with company and local regulations.
  • Address urgent matters in restaurants and provide guidance to management teams as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and proficiency in back-office tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience

  • Three to five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move efficiently throughout the workday.
  • Capability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Physical ability to work in various areas of the restaurant.
