Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a critical role in providing outstanding patient care, resulting in the best clinical outcomes and meeting the needs of our patients. This position requires a fun, hardworking, compassionate team player who can help us grow the practice and serve our community with all their oral surgery needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and visitors immediately upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provides concierge-level customer service while interacting with patients, referring offices, and team members over the phone or via electronic communication.
  • Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and the most effective use of exam and treatment rooms.
  • Prepares daily schedules for each provider.
  • Prepares patient charts.
  • Manages patient flow to reduce wait times.
  • Assists patients as necessary.
  • Maintains the reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Maintains professional relationships with referring offices.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
Requirements

To be successful as a Patient Care Coordinator, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of customer service experience.
Skills and Abilities

You should possess:

  • An understanding of dental terminology.
  • A friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence.
  • Basic office skills, such as typing and filing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
