The Retail Asset Protection Support Specialist will be responsible for analyzing transaction data to identify fraudulent activity and provide support to the Retail Asset Protection field teams. The Retail Asset Protection Support Specialist will act as a liaison between the company and external entities including but not limited to law enforcement.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate Quality Internal Cases: Utilize company reports to identify and initiate quality internal cases, providing investigative support to lead to successful case closures.
- Review Surveillance Video: Review surveillance video to confirm or deny suspected fraudulent activity as directed by the Sr. Retail AP Support Specialist, the Manager of Retail AP Support, or the Sr. Manager, Retail Asset Protection.
- Report Suspicious Activity Trends: Identify and report suspicious activity trends, developing queries to prevent further financial loss to the organization.
The Retail Asset Protection Support Specialist will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Internal: DVPs, Regional Managers, District Managers, Store Managers, Inventory Team Members, I.T. Cash Management, Training, Store Accounting, HR, Marketing, Risk, Corporate Facilities and Planning Departments.
- External: Local, State, and Federal Police agencies, Department of Homeland Security, Armored Car vendors, Security system vendors, and Banks.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma.
- 1-3 years of retail experience and/or loss prevention experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
The Retail Asset Protection Support Specialist will be required to:
- Occasionally travel overnight by car and air.
- Work a 40-50 hour work week, with occasional office work required.
- Be able to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
