Infection Prevention Director

Job Summary:

The Infection Prevention Director will lead the development and implementation of infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role will work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to identify and mitigate infection risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
  • Conduct surveillance and analysis of infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection prevention education programs
  • Provide on-call support for infection control issues
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governmental agencies

Requirements:

  • Five years of relevant clinical experience for non-nurse applicants; Registered Nurses should have a broad level of nursing experience
  • Degree in nursing, epidemiology, public health, or related experience
  • Current professional licensure or certification if appropriate to the primary discipline
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
