Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team at Parkview, a beautiful affordable apartment community in Minneapolis, MN. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our property and common areas.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect property and common areas daily to detect maintenance problems and report to management
  • Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning toilets, taking out trash, scrubbing floors, and disinfecting hallways and community areas
  • Patrol grounds daily to remove litter and maintain entryways, stairwells, pool areas, and other common spaces
  • Operate manual, electric, and gas-powered janitorial equipment safely and effectively
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, coworkers, and vendors
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to meet maintenance schedules and work with minimal supervision
  • Walk long distances and stand for extended periods

Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper use of janitorial tools and equipment
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude and excellent resident/co-worker relations
  • Safe and effective use of chemicals
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
