Administrative Assistant for Risk Management and Physical Plant

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Risk Management and Physical Plant departments at San Juan College. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the approved driver's database, processing and approving applications, reviewing MVD records and violations, and tracking and reporting driver status.
Create and distribute defensive driving and van safety certificates, and maintain contract document logs, reviewing incoming contract packets for completion and distributing for approval.
Assist with annual insurance renewal, following up on asset inventory with various departments, and process requests for Notary Bonds for SJC employees.
Provide administrative support, including answering telephone and greeting visitors, sorting and distributing mail, and accepting work orders and assigning them appropriately.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, as well as experience with budget management principles and computer software programs, including Workday and MS Office. A high school education and specialized training in the field of work are required, with one to two years of experience in a similar position.
Working Conditions
The work is typically performed in an office setting, with occasional lifting of light objects. The employee will be required to maintain confidentiality and work well in a stressful and changing environment.
