About the Role:

Mercy Housing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Outreach Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our community development team, you will play a critical role in facilitating and implementing core programs that support the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and record data to measure program outcomes and maintain accurate records in our database.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services delivered on a regular basis and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct needs assessments and community meetings to develop a comprehensive understanding of residents' needs and provide guidance on accessing appropriate services and resources.
  • Participate in and/or lead activities that build professional capacity and enhance working relationships with partner agencies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in community development, social services, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with senior and developmentally disabled populations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience conducting community assessments, applying conflict management principles, and organizing community groups, events, or programs.
  • Experience supervising staff.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting the perspectives and contributions of others.
  • Demonstrate high-level verbal, writing, and listening skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Maintain confidentiality and obtain appropriate release of information as necessary.
  • Able to work with individuals with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues.
