Role Overview:

The mission of the institution emphasizes the importance of teaching. As such, the role of the instructional faculty is centered around teaching, research, and community service. Responsibilities may be adjusted based on specific needs each semester. Faculty members are expected to deliver courses as per the approved syllabi and will maintain office hours for student consultations and departmental duties. Faculty are also required to participate in various events and meetings beyond regular office hours.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Teaching Duties:
1. Prepare and deliver instruction in various formats including in-person, online, and hybrid.
2. Conduct off-campus instruction as necessary.
3. Design and supervise laboratory sessions related to assigned courses.
4. Assess student performance through:
i. Timely grading of assignments and tests;
ii. Submitting grades by deadlines;
iii. Evaluating student learning outcomes.
5. Provide academic support and advisement to students.
6. Oversee student activities linked to the academic program.
7. Innovate teaching methods and engage in pedagogical research.
8. Select and procure educational materials for courses.
9. Review library resources and recommend new acquisitions.
10. Develop new courses and programs, including online offerings.
11. Engage in curriculum development and assessment activities.

B. Professional Development:
1. Engage in continuous learning to enhance expertise in the field.
2. Participate in professional development opportunities as required.
3. Join and contribute to professional organizations.
4. Attend relevant conferences and workshops.C. Service Contributions:
1. Support student success through participation in institutional events.
2. Serve on various committees within the institution.

4. Assist in recruitment and retention initiatives.Qualifications:

Education: A master's degree in Speech or Communication is required, or a master's degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline.

Experience: Previous college teaching experience is preferred. Relevant professional experience may be required for technical courses.Security Considerations: This position is subject to security-sensitive regulations.Compensation:

$800 per credit hour
