Certified Peer Specialist Job Description

Resources for Human Development is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide peer support services to individuals in recovery, including education, advocacy, and support in treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver peer support services, including education, advocacy, and support in treatment processes.
  • Provide recovery support education for individuals, staff, and family members.
  • Support individuals in developing natural supports, social interactions, and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to assign tasks and support individuals' recovery.
Requirements:
  • Certified Peer Specialist Certification.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals in mental health recovery.
  • Maintain 18 credit hours of additional training each year.
