Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in North Carolina. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will provide support services to individuals with severe mental illness and who may be dually diagnosed. Your role will involve working under the direction of the ACTT Team Lead to provide highly individualized services in the community, promote recovery and self-determination for members served, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve treatment goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support services to individuals with severe mental illness and who may be dually diagnosed
  • Work under the direction of the ACTT Team Lead to provide highly individualized services in the community
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve treatment goals and promote recovery and self-determination for members served
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and providers to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification in North Carolina
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one to three years experience working with adults who have a mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnosis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
