Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist

We are seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team at A Divine Time, LLC. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will work with clients providing hope, encouragement, support, and self-determination to help them achieve their goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-going supportive and/or case management functions in accordance with the problems, needs, and strategies identified within the service plan.
  • Support consumers in daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
  • Assist clients by finding resources, advising the consumer of processes, and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions.
  • Engage clients in developing healthy relationships through social activities.
  • Accompany clients to meetings and participate in meetings of community groups to advocate for consumer needs.
  • Assist consumers with identifying and effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors or triggers that result in functional impairments.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience working with the mental health & substance abuse populations.
  • North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification required or willingness to be certified.
  • Valid drivers' license and automotive insurance.
  • CPR, First Aid, NCI and/or role-related certification required or willing to acquire within 60 days of hiring.
