Position Overview

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Systems Administrator IAT-II. This position entails providing essential cybersecurity analysis and support, implementing DoD security measures on operating systems and applications. This role is pivotal in supporting a critical DoD network environment.

Note: This position mandates U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility required.

Key Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator will leverage their expertise in Information Assurance (IA) principles to achieve objectives related to the enclave environment. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of both physical and virtual Linux and Windows server/client infrastructures.
  • Management of virtual environments utilizing MS Hyper-V technology.
  • Procurement and repair of components necessary for maintaining IT systems.
  • Administration of Cross Domain Solutions.
  • Conducting systems analysis and documenting findings in a clear, actionable format for decision-makers.
  • Management and maintenance of SharePoint and Exchange server implementations.
  • Oversight of network security appliances and switches.
  • Execution of flaw remediation and system patching.
  • Utilization of native information systems tools for analytical and advisory functions related to OS performance.
  • Recommendation and scheduling of IA-related repairs within the computing environment.
  • Management of accounts, network rights, and access to systems through both active directory and local policies.
  • Analysis of system performance to identify potential security issues.
  • Collaboration with IA personnel to identify system vulnerabilities and assist in incident response.
  • Configuration, optimization, and testing of client/server infrastructures to ensure compliance with security policies and technical requirements.
  • Maintenance and upgrading of network operating systems software and hardware to meet IA standards.
  • Evaluation of potential IA security risks and implementation of corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance are required, with SCI eligibility.
  • On-site work in secured environments is mandatory.
  • Experience in enhanced security settings is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in administering Windows-based servers.
  • Proficiency in administering UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with the DOD accreditation process and procedures, including JSIG/RMF, JAFAN 6/3, or DCID 6/3.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMWare.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Server, Exchange, and/or SQL Server is advantageous.
