We are currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Officer to join our team in support of our NAVAIR client.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including but not limited to:

  • Acting as the Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) for a designated NAVAIR program.
  • Overseeing daily cybersecurity operations.
  • Executing the responsibilities of the RMF ISSO role, which includes:
    • Creating RMF authorization packages for platforms.
    • Updating and preparing RMF documentation.
    • Drafting IATTs and Use Case MFRs as necessary to facilitate development and testing.
    • Coordinating CyberSafe authorization alongside system authorizations.
    • Establishing cybersecurity policies in accordance with security control implementations.
    • Implementing a comprehensive Cybersecurity Plan.
    • Conducting asset and vulnerability management through VRAM reporting.
  • Performing vulnerability assessments and system authorization tasks in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), including System Administrators, Network Administrators, Lab Managers, Program Managers, and ISSMs.
  • Conducting system security evaluations.
  • Assessing and reporting software in compliance with DITPR/DADMS requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding and proficiency in the following areas:

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • Cybersecurity and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) tools (e.g., eMASS, eMASSter, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), VRAM, and Visio).
  • Information Technology systems and subsystems.
  • Project management principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team collaboration and cooperation.
  • Experience working with classified systems within secure environments.
Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree combined with over ten (10) years of relevant experience is required. A Senior-level individual typically manages high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program and performs all functional duties independently. They may also oversee the work of less experienced staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all personnel assigned to a specific task.

Alternatives for educational qualifications include:

  • A High School diploma/GED with two (2) years of additional experience related to the functional description may substitute for an Associate's Degree.
  • An Associate's Degree plus four (4) years of additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.

The candidate must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within NAVAIR environments.

Certifications and Clearance

Applicants must meet the certification and clearance requirements established in accordance with DoD Manual 8570-1M. One of the following certifications is required to commence employment:

  • CISM
  • CISSP (or Associate)
  • GSLC

An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory. Candidates may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
