Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Systems Administrator - IAM I plays a critical role in supporting our government clientele. This position is tasked with delivering cybersecurity analysis and support, implementing DoD security protocols to Local Area Networks (LAN) and associated network devices. The Cybersecurity Systems Administrator - IAM I will leverage their expertise in standard Information Assurance (IA) principles, practices, and procedures to effectively plan and achieve objectives related to the enclave environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor various server and desktop platforms, including Microsoft's Server 2016, RedHat RHEL 7, and Oracle Solaris 10/11 Trusted Extensions Operating Systems.
  • Administer and supervise SonicWall NSA 3600 network security appliances, ensuring both boundary and host-based protection.
  • Manage COMSEC keying materials and equipment across multiple sites, ensuring configuration and administration of NSA-approved Type 1 encryption devices in compliance with applicable EKMS 1B policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain and monitor interconnected network environments designated for operational use.
  • Implement Baseline, Baseline+ Accessibility, and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) solutions categorized for Moderate-Moderate-Low impact levels.
  • Facilitate Low-to-Low and Low-to-High Assured File Transfer capabilities across various Classified networks.
  • Conduct audits of Baseline, Baseline+ Accessibility, and CDS environments to troubleshoot and uphold stability.
  • Oversee Multi-Domain Video Network Switches.
  • Manage and uphold Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) documentation for program offices and supporting sites, ensuring timely completion of required actions.
  • Conduct successful Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events to support program office initiatives.
  • Develop certification test plans for Baseline, Baseline + Accessibility, and Cross Domain Solution Enterprise-Wide Area Networks (WAN).
  • Evaluate information systems to ensure adherence to security policies, procedures, and technical requirements using DISA SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) tool and DISA STIGs.
  • Assist in hardware/software procurement by researching IA-approved equipment and gathering quotes.
  • Perform Entry/Exit inspections of hardware and software.
  • Assess potential IA security risks and implement corrective and recovery actions for network devices.
  • Execute Asset Management responsibilities.

  • Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Three years of experience in an Information Assurance/Cyber Analysis Role.
  • DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I cybersecurity certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience and knowledge demonstrating competency with Solarwinds SEM and ACAS.
  • Experience supporting secured environments with an understanding of RMF and JSIG. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Experience working within an enhanced security environment.
  • Over two years of experience monitoring and auditing Windows/Linux and Unix-based operating systems.
  • Skills
  • Proficiency in Solarwinds SEM, ACAS, STIG/SCAP, Bash Scripting, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
