The Behavioral Support Technician plays a crucial role in assisting the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in executing Positive Behavior Support Plans and implementing interventions outlined in the Treatment Plan. This position involves delivering personalized one-on-one behavioral support aimed at enhancing communication, social skills, and daily living abilities while mitigating challenging behaviors in both home and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management support across programs, offering clinical guidance to staff.
  • Mentor staff in delivering individualized support to help clients achieve success in daily living skills.
  • Facilitate direct support for individuals to develop regulation strategies, coping mechanisms, and essential daily living skills.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and collaborate effectively with program and clinical teams.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group living environment is preferred.
  • Must hold the Registered Behavior Technician certification or be willing to obtain it within the first three months of employment.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
