Location: Jamaica Plain, with remote work options
Overview: Bikes Not Bombs is in search of a Chief Financial and Human Resources Officer to lead the financial and personnel functions of the organization. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing fiscal operations, formulating HR strategies, and working closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the Finance Team to ensure fiscal management, bookkeeping, and budget planning
- Engage with both internal and external advisors for effective resource allocation
- Establish fiscal policies, guarantee compliance, and supervise budget management
- Prepare and deliver financial reports, manage payroll, and oversee employee benefits
- Craft HR policies, manage onboarding procedures, and supervise performance assessments
- Collaborate with the Staff Leadership Team and Executive Team
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit finance or accounting
- A minimum of 5 years in human resources management
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and grant oversight
- Proven ability to enhance systems for greater efficiency
- Exceptional communication and organizational capabilities
