Position Overview

This role involves overseeing a dynamic team to effectively deliver top-tier software by spearheading continuous development, integration, and deployment processes. The individual will provide both personnel and technical guidance, enhancing speed, quality, and reliability, while influencing the overall success of cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees engineering personnel and offers leadership for the development, direction, and effectiveness of DevOps methodologies.
  • Enhances and refines processes and systems that proactively ensure reliability in complex enterprise-scale systems; formulates roadmaps and project plans to support ongoing improvement for the entire software engineering division.
  • Delivers technical guidance to team members, mentoring staff on the latest technologies.
  • Monitors and manages infrastructure for the delivery of both on-premise and cloud-based software applications.
  • Aims to increase automation through pipeline development and scripting.
  • Provides thought leadership and promotes a mindset of DevOps and reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Establishes and maintains monitoring, metrics, and SLAs for the effectiveness of DevOps processes.
  • Facilitates the resolution of issues and evaluates recommendations related to business opportunities, influencing policy and process enhancements.
  • Manages financial delivery and ensures adherence to budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with mission-critical applications, preferably in the medical products/devices sector.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Proficient in the tech stack including Azure, C#, Angular, MicroServices, GitHub, and Jira.
