Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide exceptional customer service to our clients, assisting with program, account information, and password reset assistance for our online consumer portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one telephone contact with consumers and providers to assist with program, account information, and password reset assistance.
- Accurately respond to incoming calls and document all interactions with consumers.
- Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in Medicaid and managed care programs.
- Properly forward calls to leadership or other agencies as needed.
- Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on full understanding of program requirements.
- Log calls into call tracking system and report trends in consumer questions and concerns.
- Work with consumers in difficult situations and handle complaints in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
- Meet and exceed daily standards for calls answered, accuracy, customer service, and quality.
Requirements
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Two (2) years minimum experience in a call center environment or healthcare field.
- Knowledge and operational experience in Medicaid and/or CHIP programs a plus.
- General knowledge of public health, Medicaid, and human services systems preferred.
