Job Title: Director of IT Services

Bethany Medical, the largest independent established multi-specialty group in Central North Carolina, is seeking a highly skilled Director of IT Services to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned IT professional to oversee IT operations, supervise systems and IT staff, and develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in IT operations, preferably in the medical field, and a strong understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff for a large multi-specialty medical group with multiple locations
  • Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems, etc.)
  • Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget
  • Consult senior-level management across the Bethany Medical organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff
  • Responsible for IT systems for related companies
  • As the Director of IT Services, you will be part of the Senior Management Leadership Team
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience working in IT operations, preferably medical IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • Intricate knowledge of IT operations as it relates to the medical field is essential
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Strong people skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
Education
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field is a must
