Job Title: Proposal Specialist

At Degenkolb Engineers, we are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Specialist to join our award-winning marketing department. This role will support all on-proposal and qualifications productions, primarily focused on our Northern California pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to write, proofread, edit, and produce proposals, brochures, direct mail, press releases, articles, newsletters, web copy, and other original content.
  • Maintain and update standard marketing materials, including resumes, project pages, and standard proposal sections.
  • Develop and maintain marketing database systems and digital assets.
  • Assist with client and market research projects.
  • Participate in outside industry events as a firm representative.
Requirements:
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and graphic design abilities.
  • Passion for process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient user of Adobe Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  • One or more years of experience in a deadline-driven environment, preferably for an architecture, engineering, or construction firm.
  • Experience with proposal and event management/coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management systems.
  • Four-year degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or similar degree.
