Job Overview

Global Power Products is a leading provider of innovative power protection and metering solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing to ensure the functionality, reliability, and safety of electrical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales / marketing, mechanical engineers, software / firmware engineers, product designers, and production teams to integrate electrical systems into overall product designs in the most efficient way possible.
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies for electrical systems under development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting in their professional development.
  • Provide technical expertise to support customer relations and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power electronics, PCB layout, SMT production, etc.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading electrical engineering projects from concept to production.
  • Familiarity with creating high and low voltage analog and digital circuit analysis.
  • Experience with different wireless communication modules; ethernet, modbus, cellular, wifi, Bluetooth.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.
  • Strong proficiency in PCB CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and developing products to meet those requirements.
  • Experience working in power management is a plus.
