Job Summary:
Barnes Group is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician - Mold Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating molds to meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble and wire hot runner components.
- Set up and assemble molds/hot runners in a timely manner, meeting deadlines.
- Produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
- Check all assembled parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all certification requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Work to verbal and written instructions, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
- Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm with other associates, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in plastics manufacturing, preferably in mold assembly and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including electrical wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring schematics and ability to work independently.
- Good math skills and basic understanding of tools.
- Mold assembly experience and willingness to work to ISO/ QS 9000 standards.
- High School Graduate or GED.
