  • Perform first build, prototype, pilot, and production assembly duties.
  • Develop and maintain assembly documentation, work instructions, and procedures for new products and engineering prototypes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing build teams to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new products and processes.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing cells and assembly processes for new and existing products.
  • Conduct functional testing on assemblies according to drawings and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to assembly processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify corrective actions for products and production systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Technical school diploma in Mechanical Electronics or Mechanical Assembly.
  • 8-10 years of electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of MRP systems and processes.
  • Experience with electronic and pneumatic assembly tools, measuring devices, etc.
  • Six Sigma - Lean training or exposure.
  • Product defect analysis and reporting.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Metal Shop/Rework experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical school degree or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of electrical/mechanical assembly and test experience.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • CAD design experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of MRP systems and processes.
  • Experience with electronic and pneumatic assembly tools, measuring devices, etc.
  • Green Belt - Six Sigma.
  • Ability to write failure analysis reports.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Metal Shop/Fabrication experience.
