Regional Sales Manager, East

Job Purpose: This position is responsible for maintaining and developing distribution channels in the Eastern region of the US as defined by our product portfolio. The qualified applicant will maintain existing dealers as well as add new distribution channels for all of the portfolio.
This is a regional sales position that also requires skills to manage dealers and their expectations as well as have a working knowledge of all products and proper field practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage new and existing dealers in the Construction/Geo-Positioning market.
- Assist dealers in providing sales training to their staff in Topcon technology and products.
- Develops and executes a sales plan.
- Prospects for new dealers.
- Works with dealers to demonstrate products.
- Prepares proposals.
- Attends trade shows.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
- BS in Marketing, Sales, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience and training or relevant work experience.
- 2-5 years' business to business sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A self-starter – much of this job will be independent work.
- Personable – Building strong relationships with customers will be key to success.
- Organized – This job is fast-moving; organization will be critical.
- Sales-Focused – A solid sales background is required.
- Strong communications skills.
- Construction industry knowledge.
- Presentation Skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
Expected Base Pay Range: $70,000 to $90,000 Annualized.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for certain Sales Incentives/Commissions.
