Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Lead Day Habilitation Specialist to join our team at ACLD. As a key member of our Day Habilitation Program, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to program participants in achieving their personal goals and exceeding expectations.
  • Establish and maintain a structured and safe environment, promoting emotional well-being and stability.
  • Assist in resolving behavioral issues through effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
  • Support individuals with personal hygiene and daily living skills.
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Transport program participants to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • One year of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Clean and valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Supervisory experience and willingness to complete trainings in SCIP, CPR, and AMAP.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Salary Range

Competitive hourly rate, with some programs and locations offering a differential.
