Job Title: Field Service Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer II to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for traveling globally to support the installation and integration of multi-million-dollar precision wafer fabrication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard service activities through Tier I unassisted and standard Tier II with assistance.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes.
  • Complete quality repairs and respond to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
  • Verify operational quality of system equipment unassisted and assist senior engineers as needed.
Functional Knowledge:

Established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities, including diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.

Business Expertise:

Understand how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others in the discipline.

Leadership:

No supervisory responsibilities; manages own workload.

Problem Solving:

Recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluate and select solutions from established options.

Impact:

Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided; follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

Interpersonal Skills:

Uses communication skills to exchange information.

  • Associate's Degree
  • 4 Years Work Experience

Salary Range: $41.80

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
