We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer II to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our installation and integration team, you will be responsible for traveling globally to support the installation and integration of multi-million-dollar precision wafer fabrication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard service activities through Tier I unassisted and standard Tier II with assistance.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes.
  • Complete quality repairs and respond to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
  • Verify operational quality of system equipment unassisted and assist senior engineers as needed.
Functional Knowledge:

Established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities, including diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.

Business Expertise:

Understand how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others in the discipline.

Leadership:

Manage own workload and assume responsibility for full customer satisfaction, ensuring excellent relations within assigned area.

Problem Solving:

Recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval, evaluating and selecting solutions from established options.

Impact:

Impact own team through the quality of the services or information provided, following standardized procedures and practices and receiving regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

Interpersonal Skills:

Use communication skills to exchange information and work effectively with others.

  • Associate's Degree
  • 4 Years Work Experience
Additional Information:

75% travel required. Relocation eligible. Salary range: $41.80. The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors, including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity of our current team members.
