Job Title: Utility Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to join our team at Reeves Construction Company, a subsidiary of Colas USA. As a Utility Foreman, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day utility operations of our projects, including supervising scheduled work, vendors, subcontractors, and personnel.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise various phases of a utility operation, such as the installation of storm drainage, water and sewer utilities.
  • Read and interpret plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
  • Set and check grade to ensure proper installation of utilities.
  • Have general knowledge of dig law, sloping, and safe excavation practices.
  • Communicate effectively with the Department of Transportation, customers, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Implement environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment, including keeping equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily activities and work assignments for your team.
  • Deliveries, productions, and record keeping.
  • Maintain daily records of all significant project facts, events, and conditions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Storm, Water, and/or Sewer Utilities.
  • 1-2 years of foreman experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, equipment, and materials in a safe, efficient, and ethical manner.
  • Knowledge of traffic control standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate equipment such as excavators, loaders, and rollers.
  • Travel in short intervals may be required.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in the English language, both verbally and in written form.
  • Must possess a valid, current driver's license.
  • Experience using computers, tablets, and applications related to email and timekeeping.
