About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to join our team in St. Augustine, FL. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our utility projects, including supervising personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation of storm drainage, water, and sewer utilities.
  • Read and interpret plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
  • Set and check grade to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate with the Department of Transportation and other customers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily activities and work assignments for your team.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and lubricated.
  • Accurately track and report daily work hours, equipment utilization, and quantities of work performed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in storm, water, and/or sewer utilities.
  • 1-2 years of foreman experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, equipment, and materials in a safe, efficient, and ethical manner.
  • Knowledge of traffic control standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as excavators, loaders, and rollers.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Valid, current driver's license.
  • Experience using computers, tablets, and applications related to email and timekeeping.

  • Must be able to climb onto and up and down several times a day.
  • Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.
  • Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employees must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
