Beverage Manager Job Description

Overview

The Beverage Manager is a key member of our Food and Beverage team, responsible for creating and managing the beverage program for our restaurant and Banquets & Catering departments. This role requires a strong passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a keen eye for detail in all aspects of beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement beverage menus, including cocktails, wine lists, and beer lists, in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Director and Assistant Food and Beverage Director.

  • Manage beverage inventory, procurement, and financial responsibilities, ensuring compliance with 21c and Ennismore brand guidelines.

  • Train and develop beverage team members, providing guidance on beverage service protocols, standards of service, and menu knowledge.

  • Lead beverage team building activities, meetings, and events, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

  • Collaborate with the Brand/Marketing Team to develop and execute marketing campaigns promoting the beverage program.

  • Work closely with the F&B Operations team to ensure seamless beverage operations, including glassware, tools, and equipment management.

  • Develop and maintain beverage systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with 21c and Ennismore brand standards.

  • Assume responsibility for the restaurant manager position as needed, ensuring continuity and maintenance of all beverage items between Guest Facing Menus, POS, Beverage Management Tool (Bevager), and educational platform (MISEbox).

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and NA beverage.

  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office, and familiar with industry-standard software.

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.

  • Must pass a background check.

Education/Training

  • Some college education.

  • Two to four years in a high-volume, high-quality restaurant operation.

  • Minimum one year management/supervisory experience.
