Job Title: Senior International Accountant

Are you a skilled accounting professional looking for a challenging opportunity to work with a leading construction management company? Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior International Accountant to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to manage financial reporting and compliance for our international entities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and international accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting for multiple international entities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close, audit oversight, and cash forecasting.
  • Coordinate with international accountants, managers, outside accountants, and corporate teams for compliance, reporting, and banking matters.
  • Work with international accounting firms and Enterprise personnel to complete all accounting transactions and financial statements for local GAAP compliance.
  • Oversee the development and accounting for Transfer Pricing policies and intercompany balances activities.
  • Assist in establishing new international entities.
  • Assist Treasury in setting up and monitoring international bank accounts, including bank balances.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 8+ years' accounting experience with broad G/L, intercompany, joint venture, and international accounting experience required.
  • Large international company and public accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Expertise with both US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Working with international subsidiaries.
  • Understanding of VAT, Consumption tax, GRT, and international corporate income tax.
  • Experience working with HR Mobility and related tax requirements.
  • Ability to communicate well and work with both international and domestic personnel.
  • Aware of topics associated with setting up and administering foreign operations from a multinational organization perspective.
