Key Responsibilities

The Bakery Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective management and guidance of Bakery Clerks, while also assisting the Bakery Manager in overseeing daily operations within the Bakery Department.

  • Support the Bakery Manager in optimizing department layout and product presentation for enhanced productivity and profitability.
  • Oversee ordering processes, inventory management, and maintain product quality standards.
  • Implement product rotation and assist in creating visually appealing displays.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for quality assurance and manage damaged items.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold the quality of Bakery products.
  • Assist in unloading and organizing store deliveries, while operating and maintaining bakery equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, and confirm that Bakery team members are knowledgeable about these standards.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Bakery Operations Supervisor position at Sprouts Farmers Market, candidates should:

  • Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' experience in retail grocery and two years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Possess good communication abilities and be open to both giving and receiving feedback in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be capable of handling phone inquiries and processing special orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, ensuring all work areas are tidy.
  • Be proficient in using various kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, scales, and pallet jacks, as necessary.
  • Be able to stand for extended periods and lift items as required, adhering to safety and health regulations.
