Team Supervisor

Taking on the role of a Team Supervisor at SONIC Drive-In is akin to adding the perfect topping to a delicious dessert.
Your responsibilities will also include training and mentoring team members to ensure we deliver high-quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring every guest enjoys a delightful dining experience.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role involves performing, leading, and supervising essential operational tasks to guarantee quality service and products for our guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform, lead, and supervise various station duties (fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru if applicable) to meet operational standards.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Oversee regular cleaning and sanitation tasks, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease in accordance with operational standards.
- Maintain regular attendance.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead shift meetings.
- Report customer or employee concerns to the Manager on Duty.
- Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned or required.
SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 30 hours per week; flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge/Skills
- General restaurant or retail knowledge.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to follow directions.
- Skills in multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time management, and conflict resolution.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting in a restaurant setting; frequent exposure to heat and hot liquids while cooking; frequent exposure to cold temperatures when stocking food items; occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts independently.
- Experience in multi-unit supervision is preferred.
- Willingness to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices.
- Familiarity with federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation regulations.
- Leadership and supervisory skills; effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work autonomously once given instructions; ability to multi-task and resolve issues effectively.
