We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team in delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments that make a difference in our patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer precise radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established safety protocols and industry standards.
- Prepare patients for treatment, including simulation, positioning, and use of immobilization devices to ensure accurate and efficient treatment delivery.
- Calculate radiation dosages and operate complex radiotherapy equipment to provide optimal treatment outcomes.
- Maintain detailed treatment records and ensure accurate documentation to support quality assurance and patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures and management strategies to promote informed decision-making.
- Observe patients during treatment and report any concerns or changes in condition to ensure timely intervention.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and safety checks to maintain a safe and effective treatment environment.
- Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
- New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
- Excellent technical skills and a high degree of precision and accuracy to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Strong patient-centered focus and the ability to provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
- Experience with advanced treatment techniques is preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient care.
