RN Inpatient Supervisor

The UNM Health Sciences Center (UNMHSCHS) is seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of Inpatient Supervisor in our PACU department. This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated nurse leader to join our team and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:
- Supervise a team of nurses and technicians in the PACU department.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to staff members based on their qualifications and the needs of patients.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Initiative - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, TJC compliance, Magnet Recognition, and recruitment/retention efforts.
- Shared Governance - Support the implementation of the UNMH shared governance model.
- Assignment - Designate shift and schedule assignments, assign duties according to patient needs and staff qualifications.
- Accountability - Supervise and direct staff providing patient care, accountable for care provided to patients on assigned shifts.
- Liaison - Act as liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments to promote communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Education: Essential - Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate; Nonessential - Bachelor's Degree.
- Nursing Experience: Essential - 2 years directly related experience.
- Credentials: Essential - CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days, RN in NM or reciprocal agreement by NM.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of $93,000 - $113,000 per year.
- Relocation reimbursement available.
- 17% weekday night differentials, 26% weekend night differentials, and 15% weekend day shift differentials.
