About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Program Impact Evaluation Manager to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our sustainability consulting practice, you will be responsible for leading impact evaluation projects for energy efficiency programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and lead teams to deliver high-quality impact evaluations
  • Assess energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies through engineering analysis, energy modeling, and field data collection
  • Analyze large and complex custom energy efficiency projects at commercial and industrial sites
  • Review engineering-based energy savings assumptions and provide guidance on evaluation approaches
  • Perform complex technical and economic analyses, spreadsheet creation, and project/task management
  • Ensure tasks are completed within project timelines and budgets and in adherence to quality standards
  • Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Mentor and train junior team members
  • Collaborate and manage subcontractors
  • Develop and present reports, memos, and presentations to deliver research findings to clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering, environmental science, or related discipline
  • Post-graduation work experience with impact evaluation and engineering analyses
  • Relevant industries include commercial Energy Providers, Federal Civilian Agencies, or State & Local Governments
  • Demonstrated work experience with evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) in the utility space
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience working with clients
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to clients or executive audiences
  • Strong interest in energy efficiency and sustainability
  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in analysis of energy savings or consumption (electric and gas) for common energy efficiency measures for residential, commercial, or industrial sectors
  • Experience in conducting analysis of consumption, metering, AMI data
  • Experience with building energy modeling, including experience with residential and commercial building simulation tools
  • Experience with ASHRAE Level 1 Audits
  • Experience in multiple sectors and multiple types of evaluation
  • Field experience collecting primary data, such as energy usage data, equipment operation data, or equipment characteristics
  • Knowledge of and experience with technical reference manuals (TRMs)
  • Experience implementing energy efficiency programs for commercial Energy Providers, Federal Civilian Agencies, or State & Local Governments
