Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques, enabling the training of others. This knowledge allows for the identification of improvement opportunities to enhance quality and performance. Proficient in CAD modeling, drawing generation, and managing complex experimental runs on the production floor.
- Tool Proficiency: Capable of executing advanced tasks that require a deeper comprehension of various tools and methods across multiple disciplines. Proficient in CAD (position-specific) and other necessary software packages, with the ability to develop enhanced tools and methods as required.
- Performance Indicators: Able to propose enhancements to safety and operational standards in manufacturing. Competent in process optimization of experimental runs and may operate processes on the manufacturing floor. Involves tool, jig, component design, and machining, with a focus on optimizing time management for maximum efficiency.
- Responsibility Scope: Capable of reviewing technical drawings and providing recommendations for efficient execution. Able to perform multiple manufacturing processes or testing operations, often guided by work instructions and engineering directives. Addresses non-routine challenges with general work instructions and may prioritize daily workloads.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrates a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safe working conditions. Continuously seeks to improve tools and processes within their scope of responsibility, fostering team development and setting clear expectations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintains detailed records in written form or databases. Engages in oral and written knowledge transfer as necessary, including technical reports and findings. Observant and capable of communicating significant observations to program managers and engineers.
- Work Ethic: Completes tasks punctually and with high quality. Reliable team participant who delivers results, leads by example, and mentors newer technicians. Displays a proactive approach to performance in the workplace.

- Education and Experience: High school diploma with 5 to 10 years of experience or an Associate's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field. Hands-on experience with manufacturing and processing equipment is essential. Experience with firearms and ammunition is advantageous.
- Language Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting instructions in English, with the ability to document observations and maintain records as instructed.
- Mathematical Skills: Capable of performing general mathematical operations and simple data manipulations as required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD/CAM; familiarity with CMM is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
