Customer Experience Representative

At CarMax, Inc., we're committed to delivering an iconic customer experience. As a Customer Experience Consultant, you'll be the vital link between a customer's at-home and in-store experience, providing a seamless process. You'll respond to sales leads and customer inquiries, ensuring customers can buy the vehicle they want in a way that suits them. You'll offer support during every step of their car buying journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect with inbound customers online and over the phone to understand their needs and preferences.
- Use your knowledge of the CarMax inventory to guide customers towards vehicles that meet their needs.
- Guide customers through the sales process, from online sales or appraisal to arranging finance applications and scheduling vehicle delivery.
- Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to provide an unrivaled customer service experience.
- Mentor others as your skillset expands.
- Achieve sales targets while providing an iconic customer experience.
- Acquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states, which may require testing and travel.
What You'll Need
- Sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
- High level of self-motivation to achieve performance goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and master new technologies, with strong computer skills.
- Open availability for shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be open to shifting schedules two times per year according to business needs.
- Hybrid role with a requirement for working on site one day per week.
- Must meet minimum technology requirements.
- Candidates must live within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) location.
