About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Bluestone Development. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to our business entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and thorough financial records and data, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support business planning and performance management.
  • Collaborate with property managers to prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and consolidate budgets and forecasts into accounting software.
  • Perform monthly variance to budget analysis and identify key operational drivers.
  • Document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Identify unbudgeted expenses, process deviations, data entry errors, and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrences.
Requirements
  • 5 years of accounting or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting, finance, and business principles, and a general understanding of real estate development and property management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and industry-specific property management software.
  • Ability to understand a situation or problem and use a logical, systematic, sequential approach to find creative, appropriate, and realistic solutions.
  • Ability to maintain process discipline and continually improve operational processes.
  • Open to change, different, and/or innovative ways of doing things, and flexible when it comes to personal preferences.
  • Ability to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written interactions with peers, managers, leadership, and customers.
  • Action-oriented, goal-focused, and drive for outperforming standards and precedents.
