Job Overview:
OrthoNebraska is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst to enhance our Finance Team. This pivotal role encompasses comprehensive responsibilities in budgeting and forecasting for the organization, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee, prepare, and manage the organization-wide operating and capital budget process.
  2. Integrate various information systems (e.g., Strata, Great Plains, and Cerner) into the financial reporting and budget monitoring processes.
  3. Facilitate the allocation of operating expenses across business segments, locations, and departments.
  4. Assist executive leadership in refining and updating the company's five-year strategic plan.
  5. Develop and disseminate budget communications throughout the organization.
  6. Identify and implement enhanced budgeting and forecasting methodologies to optimize planning and cash flow management.
  7. Create monthly variance analysis reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  8. Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators and objectives.
  9. Develop detailed project plans and timelines to support successful execution of new initiatives and integration of acquisitions.
  10. Schedule and lead budget meetings with key leaders and stakeholders.
  11. Analyze historical and current trends to formulate and recommend budget assumptions, including contractual price adjustments and inflation considerations.
  12. Collect, compile, and ensure the accuracy of budget documentation.
  13. Critically assess budget inputs and results to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and profit improvement.
  14. Compile and analyze data to create insightful reports and analyses for leadership decision-making.
  15. Design and develop queries, dashboards, and reports as needed.
  16. Conduct actual budget variance analysis.
  17. Prepare and present analyses and reports as required.
  18. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  19. Provide guidance and develop standards, best practices, and metrics to meet the organization's business needs.
  20. Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing analytical tools for data reporting.
  21. Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  22. Follow established guidelines as per organizational policies and procedures.
  23. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting is required. Previous experience in financial budgeting and reporting within the healthcare sector is preferred. Familiarity with the Strata financial reporting system is advantageous.

Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with all organizational levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

This position is classified as Sedentary Work, requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.
